The Franklin Lakes Board of Education oversees three elementary schools and one middle school. The students then attend one of the two regional high schools part of the Flow District:

October 1 is the cut-off date for entry into the half day Kindergarten program

Franklin Lakes is conveniently located as far as access to different mode of transportation

  • Highways 208 and 287 go through town
  • Bus service to NYC is provided by Coach USA and NJ Transit. The town offers a park and ride lot at the VFW, not permit required
  • Train service to NYC is accessible from the neighboring towns of Ridgewood, Allendale or Glen Rock

 

The area is served by 3 major airports: Newark, Kennedy and La Guardia
